My Girl by Jack Jordan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I would like to thank the author and his blog tour team for for giving me the chance to read this book.
We meet Paige. She is very disturbed about what happened to her daughter some ten years before and the recent suicide of her husband. She is trying to drown it out along with the visions of the blood bath of her husband and the loss of her daughter with drink.
Everyone is concerned with how much she is drinking. But Paige is on a gentle road to destruction and her extra meds are provided from her doctor for 'favours' which she is disgusted with herself about but needs the meds.
Strange things start to happen, is she dreaming this? Is it the blackouts she has which is the problem or is there something more sinister.
When she finds a gun hidden away which belonged to her late husband she has a hundred and one questions in her head, the main one being, what is he doing with a gun?
His phone too is there.
Paige wants to get to the bottom of this and heads off to a direction that finds her in more depth beyond her control.
This is the first book I have read by this author. I do have his first book, so judging by this one I really need to get to it.
This book had me by the short and curlies. I really found it addictive reading.
The twist in it was very good.
There were characters in this story I would have wanted to delve into more if I could and what and why they acted like this.
This is a new author coming to the table and I feel personally that he will get better and better, and maybe prolong some of his books in more depth as regards other prominent characters in future books because this one left me with some unanswered questions.
There is a blog tour soon, look out for it, look out for its release because this is a book that is well worth reading.
