What Doesn't Destroy Us by M.N. Forgy

What Doesn't Destroy Us (The Devil's Dust, #1)What Doesn't Destroy Us by M.N. Forgy
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the FIRST book I have read with bikers in it. I have been urged by my reading buddy who loves them, raves about them for ages........You have to read them Sue! So.....
when the chance came along I choose one. I've seen lots of popular ones out there, but I thought I'd throw myself in the deep end and read this one as many have said its 'gritty' its not afraid to delve into the darker side of the bikers. So off I went.

I LOVED the book, I loved the characters in it, I was very surprised to how much I WOULD enjoy the story.

The shock, horror of finding out Dani's Mother's secret was really astounding. Not once did this book flag.

If I have only one moment of a moan.....that would be, young Dani, 21 years old, sheltered by her Mother all her life suddenly clicks eyes on one of the bikers and she is instantly 'wet in her panties' .....OK....
Then she has so much jealously in such an early stage of her 'getting to know you stage' that it seemed either too not rounded in development or, she was that immature that is why she was clinging onto him in that way.

I am going to reserve judgement as I've not read book 2 yet and this might explain to me more about her.

I'm glad I read this.

When Dani's sheltered life is turned upside down by her mother's secrets, she finds protection with her estranged outlaw father. Against all warnings, she falls for bad boy biker, Shadow. He is beast and beauty sealed in a leather cut with a gun holster. Can Dani learn to live within the Club rules? Is she more like her father than she could imagine?

Shadow has grown up among drug addicts, whores and murderers. The only family he's ever trusted has been the Devil's Dust motorcycle club. He will do anything for a brother; even kill. In fact, killing is so easy, he's made a career of it. His one regret is not being able to kill his own worthless mother. When Dani shows up with her provocative temper and innocent charm, Shadow begins to question his violent lifestyle. But can he trust her with his demons?
Will Dani and Shadow let family ties destroy them?
