A Miracle of Hope by Ruth Reid

A Miracle of Hope (The Amish Wonders, #1)A Miracle of Hope by Ruth Reid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pregnant out of wedlock is not what the Amish approve of, so she is shunned. Her brother arranges a marriage of convenience with his best friend, saving her from more shame. Her "husband" has a young daughter who he is raising since his first wife died. Finding it hard, he agrees to marry Lindie. However, he has no intention of loving again.

Things of course are not easy, and things of course are not straight forward. A lot of things are thrown in the equation of this.

I love Amish stories, which I find are much more indepth that you realise. If you've never read an Amish based novel, then start off with this one. You will find much more than you are looking for.

It has love, romance, angst, family, and health worries.

Sometimes, when you are determined not to give your heart away, it happens, but is it for the best.

I highly recommend this read.

I would like to thank Thomas Nelson--FICTION via Net galley for allowing me to read and review a copy.

How far can God's mercy reach?

Lindie Wyse is pregnant out of wedlock and thinks an arranged marriage is the only way to preserve her future. Josiah Plank is certain he'll never love again, but he needs someone to care for his eight-year-old daughter, Hannah. The two take on their arrangement tentatively at first but soon realize they are each in for more than they imagined.

Lindie experiences a breakthrough with Hannah when she recognizes Hannah's special gifts, but a risky pregnancy and serious health issues threaten to demolish the foundation Josiah and Lindie are building. Will their growing love survive despite their struggles, or will their hearts become as cold as the northern winter?
