Review: Phantom Limb

Phantom Limb Phantom Limb by Lucinda Berry
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Elizabeth and Emily are identical twins, most twins have a close relationship, but these two sisters really have no choice with a Mother like they have.

She mistreats them in all kinds of ways.

They learn to lean on each other for their needs.

Then their mother begins to bring home 'men friends' which pose more dangers for the twins.

There was an accidental fire within they're home which lead the children to be adopted by a loving family who fell in love with the twins.

This of course doesn't mend the emotional damage that these two have gone through.

There are horrific things that happen in this book, rape, cutting, domestic abuse, you name it, its within these pages. It doesn't make comfortable reading and some may find it harder to read than others, but unfortunately things like this do go on in the real world.

Its horrific, yes, but the story had to be told.

Its a stomach churning read at times but has a twist in its tail.
