No Apologies by Sybil Bartel

No Apologies by Sybil Bartel

Wow. What a ride.
This book is full on angst, full on emotion and full on needing your understanding.

Graham (as Cally calls him) plays in a band, has written a song, has a one time awesome friend who stands by him no matter what. But Graham has issues, these issues has affected his choices, his behaviour and how he views things, even women. Most of all....women!

When Cally comes into his world she too has issues. She writes, and trying to get a book published. Its one of the books that causes a fight between them.

I thought Graham was someone I needed to put on the naughty step, but with his behaviour, I don't think he would ever be allowed off of it!!!

Then....I made myself see a different side to him. As the book continued I learnt how to like him, how to see below eye level.

I can't say this book is unique in its story, I've read similar. But what I can say is, it kept my attention throughout as in this book written by Sybil Bartel, she made the characters come alive, she brought out reactions in me. If a book can do this, then its a hit.

I read this for a blog tour and so glad I got involved.

Never apologize

Hard-edged rocker Graham Allen has it all. He's flush with cash from playing bass in a band by night and restoring classic cars by day. And there are plenty of women willing to share his bed for a night, complication-free. Perfect, because if there's anything he learned from his past, it was to never get attached—to anything. So when bartender Carly Sullivan flashes her innocent smile, Graham isn't prepared for what happens next.

Never fall in love

Two rules, that's all Graham has—never apologize and never fall in love. He knows Carly is everything he should avoid. Cheerful and sweet, she has "relationship" written all over her. But Graham can't stay away from her probing questions and concerned blue eyes.

When Graham discovers Carly is hiding a crushing secret, he's prepared to risk it all. Until in one single moment, everything changes and Graham's past threatens to collide with his future. His life is crumbling down around him, and soon no apology in the world can save him.

He should've known to walk away.
